ideal place for a break staff very attentive staff. the breakfast to good lots ofchoice. we had dinner one night and our friends joined us we were impressed with the menu. would definately recommend to friend and family
A good friendly pub/hotel with very pleasant staff. The room was large and well furnished and a refreshing change from large anonymous hotels. I would recommend this as a place to stay.
The Horse & Groom was a very quaint, friendly inn. The bedroom/bathroom was extremely nice. Staff very friendly and efficient and the food was excellent.
Location and food.
Decor in superior bedroom a little tired, but a lovely sized room. En-suite needs re-decoration.
Welcoming staff, great atmosphere with roaring fire in the bar, lovely bedroom with big bay window and appealing furnishings. A real refuge to relax in. Dining room was cosy and lively with plenty of other guests. We had a super meal, recommend the beef steak.
Good room; good food; both dinner and breakfast.
The Food is excellent, helpful and friendly staff, would recommend.
Breakfast good staff helpful to find alternative restaurants for food including drawing map
Disappointing there was no evening meal on Sunday despite the website stating food available 7 days per week rooms beginning to be tired damaged paintwork toilet seat etc
We can not say enough good things about the hospitality of the Horse and Groom Inn. Impeccably clean, warm, inviting, accommodating -- everything you expect and rarely get these days. My husband and I enjoyed a perfectly prepared breakfast every morning and on the morning of our very early departure a tray was voluntarily brought up to our room. Lovely spa products were provided, including bath salts for a very decadent soak. The setting and the Inn are beautiful, with lovely gardens surrounding. We stayed for four days and travelled to various points in the Cotswolds from here. The nearby village of Malmesbury is also very historic and interesting. We will have fond memories of this visit for many years to come.
Very friendly staff, large room & decent breakfast.
No dinner on a Sunday - last orders at 5.30.
Very friendly staff, nice location & comfortable room
Luke warm water in shower despite trying for 20 minutes to adjust either freezing cold or marginally better. Breakfast took 50 minutes from order to receipt? A real shame as staff very courteous
Building up well to be a first rate venue for food. Rooms are fine but some are rather difficult to access. Owner very friendly and hands on- food very good.
Access to rooms.
the Horse and Groom Inn was deightful it had a real warm atmosphere, the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and morden but cosy at the same time. the food was lovely and I would definitely stay again.
Lovely ambience; relaxing in the evening with a glass of wine by the log fire. Room excellent value; warm ,cosy and a lovely comfortable bed with soft bouncy pillows. Polite staff and a very enjoyable breakfast which was excellent value.
Friendly staff, good service, good food, charming location
In the bedroom a lounger chair would be better than the dining chair we had.
